How to Enter
1. Snag the multitracks below (each file is about 1 GB so please be patient)

*Please note: The multitracks are 44.1 and 24 bit.
2. Mix away! You may use sample replacement for your drums, however, no additional recording or replacing of the instruments will be permitted for this competition. You may by all means use the mute button if you desire.
3. ***IMPORTANT*** Once you are ready to submit your mix, please upload to www.soundcloud.com and tag it #tmamixcomp. You must tag your mix and make it downloadable or your entry will not be seen by us. Don’t forget to make it downloadable so we can level match your mix if you are chosen as a finalist. Sounds fair, right? Good!
The contest ends on November 5th.
Rules
1. You may only enter once. Feel free to post your mix for feedback and critique in the various forums and Facebook groups, however keep in mind that once you tag your mix and upload to Soundcloud you are considered entered.
2. Submit your mix by November 5th. If you’re late, your hard work will, unfortunately, be ignored.
3. Share the love! I want this process to be both fun and educational. Please take a few mins to listen to others’ mixes and give feedback. This is not a “requirement”. Let’s all grow together! #benice
To Master or Not to Master?
Great question! While I am aware of the varying opinions across “mastering” in the mix or mixing it to sound “mastered”, I’m simply going to say enter at your own risk. Boz Millar said it best in his recent mix contest description when he said “This is not a loudness contest. Smashing your mix into oblivion is not the purpose. That said, keep in mind that the people judging the mixes are actual humans and subject to the laws of psychoacoustics.”
